- Desktop systems are preferred to All-in-one and Notebook PCs in a single machine store environment as they may be deficient in the number of USB ports that are available. The Notebook PCs is preferred for on-site mobile selling
- We recommend using your existing hardware if it is found to be compatible and serviceable, otherwise, if you do not currently have POS equipment, we can discuss your needs and assist you with your purchases.
- Laser and multifunction Ink-Jet printers will be compatible if current Windows drivers are installed.
- Most all 1D standard barcode scanners (USB corded or Bluetooth cordless) will be found to be compatible but may require minor programming adjustments. If only one barcode scanner will be used, it is strongly recommended that it be cordless, to facilitate inventory setup and physical counts. If a notebook PC is available and you have a corded barcode scanner, it may be used for inventory setup and physical counts.
- Battery backups are not required but are strongly recommended to protect equipment and data from power fluctuations and interruptions.
